High 5 - showcasing pioneering projects in europe
We want to see heaven on earth and inspiring missional projects in Europe. This has been our quest for some time now - and therefore we searched for the new projects that have impact in their city. We want to share their journey and inspire you to try bold things where you live.
In these webinars, the projects will share their journey. They will open up about some of their developments and ask for your insights and feedback. After a time of discussion we will close with a theological reflection and some pointers of what God might be saying to us.
The next dates
May 04, 2023 - Open Hands (Germany, Romania)
June 22, 2023 - Central am Richtsberg (Germany)
The Story So far
These events were hosted so far on Hi5. We do not record or share notes. The magic happens in the moment.
Dazwischen, Online (DE)
Felix told the story of dazwischen - an online experiment in faith interactions. He gave us a view on what works, what kind of questions people come with and how to explore faith communication in the digital arena via messengers and online gatherings. (link)
Lighthouse Church, Yalova (TR)
Michael gave us a fascinating view of his work at the church in Yalova by building relationships and trust over the long term. He also shared his exploration into Central Asia and working with pastors and leaders to share the Gosel.
Stadtkloster Thun (CH)
Marius and the team shared their project of intentional living and monastic ideas for the members of their community. Their five buildings across the city of Thun developed some great rhythms for prayer and they serve neighbors in noticable ways. (link)
Bless Bethanie (Caen, FR)
Gerard shared about the collective around his farm near Caen in Normandy. The host regular international services in the city, run a cafe and a campsite, and invite the city to art exhibitions or serve alongside them in welcoming refugees. The impact a city with limited exposure to personal, community-based expression of faith. (link)
Polylux (Neubrandenburg, DE)
Ralf and team moved into the “Plattenbauten” of East Germany to bring beauty and community to a city where a lot of people move away or have little hope. For the last decade, they started choirs, community events and invited the neighbors to tell the story of the Bibel in their own words (youtube video here). Their impact is felt and their visions of “do something beautiful” brings joy and hope. (link)
